  • Faculty Research Assistant, CIMERS

    This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month position with the Cooperative Institute for Marine Ecosystems and Resources Studies (CIMERS). The position will work with a multi-disciplinary team of researchers from OSU, CIMERS and NOAA Fisheries to understand the connectivity between climate variability and marine ecosystem productivity. The position will be part of a team that maintains a relatively high-frequency (biweekly to monthly) 25+ year time series of physical, chemical, and biological oceanographic metrics collected along the continental shelf and slope off Newport, OR.   • Hatfield Visitor Center Coordinator

    This full-time (1.00 FTE) position oversees operations, exhibits, and collaborates with other staff to plan and implement programming at the Hatfield Visitor Center (VC), a marine science museum and aquarium operated by Oregon Sea Grant at Oregon State University’s Hatfield Marine Science Center. The VC features hands-on exhibits and public education activities and events and supports STEM education research and the development of new exhibits, as well as marine education programs for school groups, summer day camps, community groups, and educators.   • Oregon Coast STEM Hub Director

    The Oregon Coast STEM Hub seeks an organized, dynamic director who is able to approach the work with determination and creativity. They will work with the STEM Hub Leadership Council to build STEM capacity in the Oregon Coast Region – they will build on existing work and ensure that approaches are community-informed, evidence-driven, and address inequities and opportunities to develop new pathways for underserved audiences. This position provides direction for the day-to-day operations of the OCSH, associated staff, and resources. The Director interacts with high-level leaders in every sector and is responsible for acquiring external funding through collaborative grant proposals to support programs, and collecting, evaluating, and reporting program data. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month professional faculty position at Hatfield Marine Science Center. This position provides consultation and training for the planning, development, testing, implementation and managing of information technology needs on the Hatfield campus. Research support is of particular importance to this role. The person in this position is expected to ensure coordination and management of customer service, equipment, IT facilities and IT operations. The manager also provides direct consultation support and training to students, staff, and faculty on information technology-based systems and solutions.
